Part Description

The 3/16” x 100mm SS Precision D Shafting (Axel) is a solid stick-like part, the axel has one flat side as well as one curved side the flat side is used to hold the axel in place with screws when mounting wheels or gears.

Possible uses

  • To attach wheels to the robot usually for direct drive but can be used for indirect drive
  • To attach gears to the robot (as in for using wheels for direct drive)
  • secures wheels to ensure stability and discourages movement within the wheels during chassis movement. Important factor when programming the Robot to move.
